Support Torture Investigation

Newsweek reported Saturday that Attorney General Eric Holder is considering appointing a prosecutor to investigate whether the Bush administration illegally tortured terrorism suspects.

A decision is expected in the next few weeks. Holder should investigate torture, and he should start with former Vice President Dick Cheney and his legal adviser David Addington.

Do yourself a favor and sign the CREDO petition to tell Attorney General Holder to assign a prosecutor to investigate torture.

Will Obama allow Cheney, Rice, and the rest of the “Torture Team” to be extradited to Spain, where a judge is currently investigating their actions under an international treaty signed by the U.S.?

Did you know the U.S. prosecuted Japanese who waterboarded their prisoners during WWII?

Did you know all the “enhanced interrogation” techniques used at Guantánamo were the techniques learned from the Chinese Communists during the Cold War?

Dick is our corporate American empire's last great white hope - Prosperity thru War / Exxon and Halliburton über alles / Total Victory for Democracy, Christian Hegemony, and Israel…all on your money, and your children's money, their children's and their children's children's (borrowed) money.

Tell the Senate Judiciary Committee: No Amnesty for AT&T and Verizon
In recent weeks, Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee caved to the White House and cut a deal to grant retroactive immunity to telecom giants who colluded in Bush's illegal program to spy on Americans.

The bill -- a so-called "fix" to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act -- is now being debated by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Fortunately, most of the Democrats on the committee appear ready to strike the amnesty language from the bill. But we still need to make sure they stand strong as pressure increases around this critical vote.
